Fractal Images What is a Fractal? Fractals are geometric patterns which repeat at different levels of detail to form irregular shapes that cannot be easily represented through classical geometry. These images are generated from the "Mandlebrot set", an equation created by the French mathematician Benoît Mandelbrot. Click on a thumbnail to see the full-size image.
